The Lord is my light and my salvation–whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life–of whom shall I be afraid
When my enemies came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell. When tongues rise up against me in judgement they shall be condemned. Though a thousand stand against me, I will not be afraid. For He has commanded His angels to watch over me. Believers have nothing to be worried about-though the winds may blow, we have a solid foundation. Jesus is our rock, and He cannot be moved. We are securely in the hand of God, and no one can pluck us out. Even though our flesh may fail us, this we can be sure of–there is a place, where nothing decays or grows old with time. There is an incorruptible kingdom. There, the sheep of God’s pasture find ALL rest. There, the children can play with vipers, and lie down with the animals of the field. There, God is our light and salvation. There we experience the fullness of God’s goodness, grace and mercy. For Whom shall I fear? For Whom shall I be afraid?
