It was by God’s goodness, grace and mercy that he allowed simple men like fishermen to become His closest followers. They were not the smartest nor the most kept of men, but God covered them with His goodness, grace and mercy. He saw it fit to allow them to talk to Him face to face. They dwelled with God. God taught them everything. Those who got to experience God while on earth did so by His goodness, grace and mercy. It is by God’s goodness, grace and mercy that we can recover after we do the most horrific things. Saul killed faithful followers of God, but God looked upon His heart. It was by God’s goodness, grace and mercy that Saul who would later become Paul was saved. It is by God’s goodness, grace and mercy that any of us are saved and are here today. Paul went on to write the new testament which is a testimony of God’s goodness, grace and mercy.
