Did you know that the desire of God is for us to have no shadow of sin, transgression or iniquity? God does not want to have a memory of us committing these things. When He thinks of us, He desires to only have good thoughts. When we commit sin, transgression or iniquity it leaves a stain or shadow. It is not removed until you’ve confessed, turned to god, and had the blood of Jesus to remove it. In the old days, animals were used instead of Jesus. The shadow of sin, transgression and iniquity would not depart from them because the blood of bulls, and goats could not properly wash away the shadow. With the new covenant, we have the opportunity to live, lives with no shadow of sin, transgression or iniquity. Confession, turning away, and Holy Communion cleanses away all residue. There is no more shadow. You are free!
