Abiding in The Shadow of The Almighty

Abiding in The Shadow of The Almighty is a series of posts that are hidden in The Shadow of The Almighty [All the posts, except for the one you are reading are hidden, it is meant to minister to The father]

Abba Father, I would like to thank you for getting my ministry back up and running. You knew that my wordpress wasn’t functioning properly, and you worked it out. Truth be told, you did that and much more. You also established a prayer ministry that I will do in Your shadow. I will be lifting all the prayers up to your throne. Thank you for working behind the scenes to make sure everything that I need is in place.

These requests prayer requests are requested directly from the Baptist Children’s Home of North Carolina.

Lets lift them up!

Baptist Children’s Home of North Carolina

Foster parents love children fully while outcomes remain uncertain. They carry paperwork, appointments, court timelines, and emotional whiplash—all while trying to build a normal home. Pray for foster families as they faithfully love and care for children in the middle of difficult and often unpredictable circumstances.

Pray specifically:

  • For capacity and support: respite, meals, childcare, transportation help, and a strong circle of encouragement.
  • For marriages and households: unity, patience, and protection from resentment or burnout.
  • For trauma-informed parenting: wisdom to respond to behaviors with compassion and structure.
  • For the children in their care: safety, attachment, schooling, and medical needs.
  • For churches: to “wrap around” foster families with practical, consistent help—not just praise. As BCH continues serving vulnerable children and families across North Carolina, please pray for more trauma-informed families and communities willing to step into this mission with wisdom, grace, and love.
  • Pray specifically:
  • For more families to say “yes” to fostering and adoption — that God would raise up compassionate, gospel-centered homes willing to serve vulnerable children faithfully.
  • For trauma-informed caregivers — wisdom, patience, discernment, and endurance as they care for children carrying deep wounds, grief, fear, and loss.
  • For healing in children — safety, trust, emotional regulation, healthy attachment, and renewed hope for the future.
  • For churches to respond faithfully — offering encouragement, respite care, mentorship, practical support, and ongoing community for foster and adoptive families.
  • Children who have experienced trauma often carry invisible wounds caused by abuse, neglect, loss, instability, or broken relationships.
  • Gospel-centered, trauma-informed care helps foster parents, caregivers, churches, and professionals better understand how trauma impacts a child’s emotions, behavior, development, and ability to trust. These trainings equip families and communities to respond with compassion, patience, structure, and Christ-centered care instead of frustration or misunderstanding.
  • For BCH staff, social workers, and ministry partners — clarity, compassion, and strength as they walk alongside children and families navigating difficult circumstances.
  • For the next generation — that children who have experienced trauma would encounter the love of Christ through safe, nurturing, and consistent relationships.
  • “Carry one another’s burdens; in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” — Galatians 6:2
