Life is full of snares; things that make you fall in your walk with The Most High. Worldly music is a BIG snare as it is everywhere you go.The lyrics that are in the music leads the soul astray from God; it acts as a teaching tool in what’s worldly and hip in the current environment. It often talks about committing sin, transgression, and inequities. Music of today makes it seem like it is the cool thing to do and there are no consequences; likewise movies glorify violence in the name of horror and acion. It can lead you to think that you also can do, and get away with the same things that the people in the movies get away with. These things are not reality. You cannot do as you want and think that there is no punishment. Other snares to your soul are ungodly people who you may or may not hang around with. They lure you in taking part in the same activities as they do, and if it is ungodly you are caught with them in the snare. Many people go to jail hanging around the wrong people. The wicked says, Cast in your lot among us,
Let us all have one purse”—
15 My son, do not walk in the way with them,
Keep your foot from their path;
16 For their feet run to evil,
And they make haste to shed blood.
17 Surely, in [a]vain the net is spread
In the sight of any [b]bird;
18 But they lie in wait for their own blood,
They lurk secretly for their own lives.
19 So are the ways of everyone who is greedy for gain;
It takes away the life of its owners.
Doesn’t Wisdom cry out?
Even if it seems that you have gotten away with evil, God sees everything, and He will judge. It is better to be judged while you are still alive. It is better to fall into a snare while you are a alive and can get up, than to fall into the place where there is no forgiveness
