Did you know that according to the law God has a right to forsake us when we sin, trangress or commit iniquity? We deserve punishment when we do these things; all of us are guilty of it. We don’t pay much attention to the awesome punishment of the things that we do requires. God is faithful however. He sent His Son to be beaten and hanged on a stake. When Jesus Hanged there, bearing all of our sins, He was forsaken for the first time by God. This is because there were some people who God was required to forsake according to the law, and believe me, there were many. Jesus was forsaken at that moment so that the people who God was going to forsake could be redeemed or saved. Jesus came as a Lamb carrying all of our sins. It is because of His sacrifice that we never have to be forsaken. Worthy is the Lamb.
