Did you know that it is God’s desire that you continue in His word even in your old age? Yes, He wants you to bear fruit in your old age. He expects you to have learned through your youth. He takes delight in seasoned followers who can train up the younger generation. The fruits of the spirit are not the only fruit he expects you to have. He expects you to be rich in His word. Going about your life doing what pleases Him. He expects for your fruit to last. That means that you store up fruit that is precious in His sight that benefits the body of Christ eternally. Don’t give up on your faith or stop and say to yourselves, “I have done enogh.” God knows your heart, and you don’t want your fruit to rot on the vine. He loves the aged who are flourishing in His sight. He gives you life for you to continue His good work upon this earth. Don’t you want to still be bearing fruit in your old age? This is what The Most High says about it,
The righteous will flourish like a palm tree,
they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon;
13 planted in the house of the Lord,
they will flourish in the courts of our God.
14 They will still bear fruit in old age,
they will stay fresh and green,
15 proclaiming, “The Lord is upright;
he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him.”
Bearing fruit in your old age is a testimony that God is Upright, and that there is no wickedness in Him.
